pez displays
There are so many fun and exciting ways to display a Pez collection. Over the years here are a few ways that i have displayed mine. It's always fun to give tours of my collection, and share so many of the stories and memories that have been made over the past fifteen plus years.
The "Ever Changing Pez Wall" has since been taken down when we moved to Hartland, Michigan (December 2014) It was one of my favorite displays, it was about 4 feet from top to bottom, and about 30 feet long. When ever new items were added i used to rearrange all the different shelves thus giving it the name "Ever Changing Pez Wall" it was just a modge-podge of everything Pez!
extra inventoryMost of what you see above in the Pez Display section is my personal collection, but it does not quite end there. Here are a few pictures of what i refer to as my "Pez Warehouse" my Pez warehouse holds approx. 26,000 Pez dispensers that i have bought from people selling off their collections, estate sales, garage sales, clearance sales, storage units, etc. I use these Pez to sell and trade either helping me fund my trips to Pez conventions or help me purchase more expensive vintage Pez.
(Right) is Pez dispensers grouped in counts of 6 of the same ones. Each separated into ziplock bags. these make it easier to build complete sets once all the characters are found to complete a set. |
Standing in the middle of the Pez Warehouse the (above) pictures show the shelving, totes, and cabinets that store my extra Pez inventory. This room is approx. 12ft. wide by 24ft. long, i do most of my sorting in this room, and also have a work station for making fantasy Pez, another for packing supplies, and another for getting items packaged for mailing.
Vintage
Here is my collection of vintage Pez. Most of these Pez are from the late 1950's and 1960's. Some characters include Popeye, Orphan Annie, Santa, Wonder Women, Doctor, Nurse, Pirate, Captain Hook, Fat Earred Bunnies, Rudolph, Mr. Ugly, Zorro, Yappy Dog, Batman, Hulk, and many Disney characters...
The value can range on these dispensers, depending on quality, condition, age, rarity, quantity still available. Most of these can be valued between $35.00 to $300.00 each. |
The Santa Claus (valued around $135.00) in the white box (lower left hand corner) i won at a Pez convention in Connecticut. I was the grand prize for the Pez Bingo games, the prize box also included about 60 other really nice Pez items.
(Top Row, 8th Pez Dispenser) is not considered Vintage, but it is a rare convention piece that i won at Pezamania in Cleveland, Ohio 2014, during a game called Diceamania. IT is a hand holding a marble shaped like the Earth from another convention held in Florida (valued around $185.00) The vintage Angel (Left) has a much larger head and does not fit in the average protective case, she is also wearing a Pez "shoe" (red base on bottom of her stem) that helps her stand up. |
Pez candy packsThere are so many different types of candy flavors and wrappers. (Below) shows 35 different types of packaging and flavors available. When collecting Pez some collectors just collect the dispensers, some collect only vintage, some collect just there favorites, some collect display boxes, some collect old advertisements, some collect Pez candy, and the "real crazy ones" (such as myself) collect anything and everything that has to do with Pez. (Left) is a sample of 40 different Pez candy packs in a custom display case that I make and sell with my father.

charity
The Pez community is such a charitable group of people. At most conventions monies are raised to help support local charities through silent and live auction. Here are a few items i have added to my collection through participating in the charity events at different conventions.
awardsThis has to be one of my most prize possessions when it comes to my Pez collection. In May of 2015 at Northeast Pez Convention held in Stamford, Connecticut. My fellow Pezheads honored me with the award of "Biggest Egg Baby" of the year award.
Many people in the Pez community know that I'm a jokester and prankster. This award was to highlight my "achievements in comical humor" or lack of a better term try to pull a prank on me. As they called my name to the stage to receive this award, about 30 of my fellow Pezheads & friends held up a laminated signs of an Egg Baby Dispenser with my picture on it. The 2015 Pez Collector of the Year spoke and presented me with the award. I consider it a great honor to be recognized among a community that i hold so dear. This was the first year it was given out, and now i get to choose 2016's "Biggest Egg Baby" award recipient. |
In January of 2017, I was awarded with a special award from The PezPalz.blogspot.com (an online world wide blog that keeps up to date on everything Pez) This award was given for creating something special for the Pezpalz community.
In 2016 Michigan had its first Pez Convention, and we introduced 6 new interactive Pez Convention Dispensers (they are pictured on the right.) These six dispensers have magnetic interchangeable centers allowing Pez collectors to customize them differently. It was a great honor to be awarded this amazing award. |
The Facebook Pez community offers and award called "Facebook Pez Collector of the Month."
The award is given to Pez collectors who really represent the wonderful qualities of pez collectors and who make lasting contributions to the advancement of the Pez collecting hobby. It's for PezHeads who go above and beyond in providing information to other collectors, who help other collectors in special or unique ways and who promote the hobby of pez collecting, merely for the love of the hobby itself. Just being a really nice guy or gal is not sufficient. Just giving away a lot of pez is not sufficient. Each month Pezheads can nominate other Pezheads for the monthly award, and it is voted on amongst the Pez collecting community. I was nominated and proudly made the list as Facebook Pez Collector of the Month for February 2016. |
pez conventions
There is so many wonderful things to say about conventions, that i have decided to give it it's own separate tab. There you can read more about Pez Conventions and see some Pez Convention Dispensers closer. These are my some of my Pez convention Pins & Dispensers.

Personalized PezHaving personalized Pez is a great way to set your Pez collection apart from others. (Below) is a shadow box that i made to display a tribute to my first trip to the Pez Visitors Center in Orange, Connecticut. The Pez Boy dispenser in the display was designed by the Manager of the Pez Visitor Center, and is only sold at the Pez Visitors Center. The Pez Boy on the left (in shadow box) is personally addressed to me, and the one on the right (in shadow box) is Personally addressed to my Son, LJ. Along with a post card from the Pez Visitors Center. The four photos to the (Lower Right) are called custom cuts, This is when you take a Pez dispenser and custom cut a name, word, or event into the stem, and personalize it to your liking. Currently, Collectables413 LLC (owned by my father and I) are the only ones offering this way of customizing Pez.
